Ironworks Quilters
FRIENDSHIP CHALLENGE
Last winter, members of Ironworks Quilters were challenged to create a small wallhanging that (to them) represented friends and/or friendship. The overall design and method of assembly was their choice and could be hand/machine pieced, appliqued, paper-pieced or a combination of techniques. It could be embellished or embroidered and a noticeable piece of the light green/purple challenge fabric needed to be worked into the general design. Quilters were allowed to add other fabrics of their choice to complete the wallhanging. The quilt may be any size up to 18” x 18” and feature a pieced border.

The library's Book Club, Biscuits & Books, meets monthly (live or through Zoom) to discuss books and enjoy each others company over coffee, tea and biscuits. IRONWORKS QUILTERS--THIRD TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 6 PM (APRIL THROUGH OCTOBER)
People who share a common interest in quilting meet at the Pembroke Library on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6 pm (April through October). Workshops are held on the third Saturday of the month from 9 am to about 2 pm. Guests are welcome at all meetings and workshops. "Where friendships are made...one stitch at a time." LIVE TAI CHI AND YOGA CLASSES AT THE LIBRARY AND ON ZOOM
Samantha Williams, E-RYT 500, is currently offering LIVE Tai Chi and Mindful Flow Yoga class at the library on Thursday mornings. LI'L BOOKWORMS, STORY TIME--THURSDAY MORNINGS AT 10 - 11 AM
Created specifically for children ages 0-4 (babies, preschoolers and their parents/caregivers), Li'l Bookworms Storytime with the children's librarian, Miss Bonnie, features stories, music, age-appropriate activities and playtime with other children.
USED BOOK SHOP--SATURDAYS 9 AM - 12 NOON
The library's Used Book Shop, on the second floor, is open every Saturday morning from 9 am to noon. Genres include action, adventure, mystery, suspense, romance, non-fiction, crafts, children, and more. Additional books are added to the shop when available. Prices are $1 each for hard covers and 50 cents for paperbacks.
